...and then there's February!
Just through the holidays…pretty lights, great food, parties, family, presents, lots to do, wonderful anticipation,,,Joy to the World!
And, after all that…we get January…cloudy and short days, cold, snow, much less to do, Spring is far away, the big holiday is the first of the month…in short…blah.
Okay, if you are into winter sports maybe January has that going for it. My preferred winter sports are basketball and bowling, however. January is 31 days long, that ties it with March, May, July, August, October and December…But…January’s 31 days seem much longer than most months (even though technically they are not!) It could be that the cold just numbs your mind to that belief.
Anyway, when all a month has going for it is the hope for a thaw you know that you’re in serious trouble. The January flower is the Carnation, but don’t try and grow one during the month. The average temperature is 29’. Remember that when it’s -2’ and the wind chill is off the charts. Sorry, January, but you’re not real high on my ranking of months.
My granddaughter’s birthday is during the month, that’s good at least.
By the way…January ends…and it becomes February. Great.
Well, at least it’s a shorter month.
