Community Bank Voted Elmhurst's Favorite Bank!
In a Reader’s Choice Survey conducted by the Elmhurst Press, a part of Suburban Life Publications, the Community Bank of Elmhurst was selected as “Best of 2011 – Favorite Bank” as announced in the January 27, 2012 edition. The Reader’s Choice Survey provided a significant listing of “favorites” within the community in many categories.

Ahlgrim and Daniels Receive Awards from Elmhurst Chamber
The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded Community Bank Vice President, Charity Ahlgrim the Chairman's Award at its Annual Awards Gala. Ahlgrim, chosen by the Chamber's outgoing Chair, Kevin O'Keeffe, was recognized for her volunteer efforts with the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Elmhurst, the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Spring Road Business Association and People for Elmhurst Parks. Former Mayor Thomas Marcucci made a special appearance to praise Ahlgrim just before the award was presented. Also, Community Bank Director, W. Peter Daniels (Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare (EMHC)) accepted the Chamber's Business of the Year Award on behalf of EMHC as its President and CEO.

W. PETER DANIELS AND MARYANN GORSKI ELECTED TO COMMUNITY BANK OF ELMHURST BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Community Bank of Elmhurst is very pleased to announce the election of W. Peter Daniels, President of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and Maryann Gorski, President and Owner of K & T Colors, both Elmhurst residents, as the newest members of its Board of Directors. They join the current Board, headed by Chairman William C. Gooch, Jr.
“We are delighted to have Peter Daniels and Maryann Gorski join our Community Bank of Elmhurst Board of Directors”, stated Gooch. “They bring business experience, civic experience and resident experience regarding Elmhurst which is what our Bank is all about!”
Daniels came to Elmhurst from Meridian Health, a network of five hospitals in New Jersey. He served as president of Ocean Medical Center for eight years and has more than 25 years of hospital and administrative experience. He has been in Elmhurst for just over a year and has been seeking opportunities to become more involved locally. Daniels has degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Long Island University. In 2006, Daniels earned board certification in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Daniels is married to wife Noel, with two children.
Gorski has owned and managed K & T Colors since 1986 in tandem with her mother, Loretta Kalina. The business, located at 568 S. York Street in Elmhurst, specializes in custom framing and art supplies. K & T underwent extensive expansion and remodeling in 2010 and is a destination business in the York & Vallette area of the city. Gorski is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Elmhurst, a commissioner on the Elmhurst Economic Development Commission, associate board vice president of the Elmhurst Art Museum and a member of Elmhurst: College & Community. Gorski is a graduate of University of Illinois, and is married to husband, Ron, with four children.
Both commented that it is a pleasure and honor to join the Board of Directors of the Community Bank of Elmhurst and it provides them with another way to be involved at the foundation of Elmhurst and with its people.
