Colors are more than they seem...

As we begin autumn one of the things that happens is our trees change color. They go from the various greens to reds, yellows, oranges and browns. Here in the Midwest, the fall is one of the glorious times for us to enjoy the outdoors. It can often be…spectacular.

That brought me to thinking about some of the colors themselves. Colors are more than they seem. Not only do they give us visual pleasure, they have deeper meaning as well. Here are just a few examples:

Green often provides solitude, calm and peacefulness.

Yellow presents excitement, caution and warmth.

Red provides energy, passion and action.

Orange is provocative, driven and unique.

Brown shares its tranquility, universality and depth.

Blue creates openness, optimism and expression.

The two most ‘popular’ colors are usually blue and red, but all the others have their devotees. Black and grey have their champions, and white is always popular as well.

Enjoy the Fall Season!
