We all want the pandemic over, but it seemingly hasn’t decided to leave easily or on our schedule...

So, Delta Variant aside, there are many present circumstances that can be confusing in this current state of the pandemic:

  • Are handshakes back? Are they okay again? If someone offers one, do you respond the same or offer a fist bump? (My doctor shook my hand yesterday for example.)
  • What rule has the CDC changed or created today that we didn’t have yesterday? I admire the CDC and it’s not like the pace of climate change.
  • If you’re fully vaccinated, but wear your mask everywhere anyway, do you feel that people will believe that you are unvaccinated? After all, unvaccinated people are supposed to be masking up.
  • Will it really make a difference when the vaccines are no longer labelled ‘experimental’? Why is that taking so long anyway?
  • If you made a lot of money making and selling masks, are you pleased with the new wave? I hope not, but I do get it.
  • Last year the regular flu was almost a non-event. Very few cases were reported. That was attributed to mask-wearing. As flu season again approaches, have you given any thought to that? I wonder how many people will take the flu shot this year given the circumstances?
  • Large events outdoors with no masks vs. large events indoors with them? Stats?

Confusion aside, please watch out for yourselves. We all want the pandemic over, but it seemingly hasn’t decided to leave easily or on our schedule.
