We live in a hectic world, and maybe we always did, but it seems more “out of control” than ever. We have instant communication tools. We have unedited facts regularly shared with us. Our patterns create content for us to read. Social media abounds. To “stay current” is a full-time job. Technology is ever-changing. There are no easy answers to this challenge of modern life.

Well…maybe one: The Power of Pause.

What does that mean, you ask?

Just pause. As you receive your news, texts, posts, calls, contacts…Just pause. You don’t have to respond, react, reject, recommend, ridicule…or do anything…right away…or maybe ever. Just pause.

Pause is your power. It can be its own message. It can signal that you are thinking, debating, discussing, investigating, considering…before you decide to respond…or whether you decide to respond at all. Immediate reaction isn’t a requirement for much of what we read and hear daily. Just pause.

You might be surprised by what happens when you pause…to you and to others.

Just pause.
