Our country is celebrating a big birthday during all of 2026. 250 years as a nation of freedom, advancement and optimism. It promises to be quite a show, nationally and locally.

The City of Elmhurst has created an America250 Committee charged with overseeing plans within Elmhurst and helping to coordinate and support them. A “complete- community” calendar will allow all organizations to post their events, gatherings, celebrations, goals with their dates for all to view. The Committee is also exploring specific “City-things” that will be organized and shared. There will be America250 swag, music-offerings, speakers and much more. Some type of civic memorial is also being considered.
